🎶 Crossroads Concert – A Night of Hungarian Folk-Pop Fusion 🎶
On Saturday evening, around 50 guests gathered for a cozy and intimate concert that blended the soul of Hungarian folk with the energy of pop and rock. Before the music began, the audience enjoyed a hearty bowl of gulyásleves (goulash soup), lovingly prepared by Etelka Keszei. Delicious crepes were also available for sale.
The concert began at 7:00 PM, and we performed 13 songs—a mix of Hungarian cover songs deeply rooted in folk music or strongly influenced by it.
The atmosphere was lifted by professional sound and lighting, thanks to László Velinszky and his son Marci Velinszky, who handled the technical side of the evening.
On stage:
- 🎸 Attila L. Egyedi – band leader, guitar, tambura, vocals
- 🎻 Orsi Müller – cello
- 🎷 Endre Balog – tárogató, saxophone, flute
- 🎸 Gergő Szabó – bass guitars
- 🥁 Gergő Bolgovics – cajon, kanna, drums, percussion, beatbox
A huge thank you to everyone who came and made this night unforgettable!
🎟️ The suggested donation ($15) was offered by the musicians to the Hungarian Cultural Center in exchange for the opportunity to rehearse there. We thank everyone who joined us and contributed to the success of the evening!
