đź‡đź‡ş Inauguration of the Hungarian Cultural Center & October 23 Celebration (October 19, 2024)
On October 19, 2024, the Hungarian Cultural Center of the San Francisco Bay Area was officially inaugurated, coinciding with a celebration commemorating the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Attila Egyedi of Crossroads Band SF performed “EurĂłpa visszavár” by Napoleon Boulevard, contributing to the day’s musical program.
The Eszterlánc Hungarian Folk Ensemble showcased vibrant Rábaköz dances performed by seven couples, along with a special Dél-Alföld dance by choreographers Ilka Dajka and Gergő Bolgovics. Many other community members participated through poetry recitations, readings, and songs, enriching the commemorative atmosphere of the event. The celebration highlighted the collective spirit and cultural heritage of the local Hungarian community.
