🎶 Concert in Honolulu, Hawaii
The Crossroads Band held a special open-air concert on the final evening of the Second Hawaii Diaspora Camp—Sunday, November 26, 2023—at Kapiʻolani Park in Honolulu. The event was the perfect conclusion to a week full of cultural exchange, music, and community spirit.
What made the concert truly unique was its off-the-grid setup: all equipment, including guitar pedals, mixers, and PA systems, was powered entirely by batteries. This approach not only demonstrated technical ingenuity but also allowed the band to perform in a beautiful, natural setting without relying on traditional infrastructure.
The band played a mix of Hungarian folk-fusion and classic pop-rock covers, energizing the diverse audience with familiar melodies and lively rhythms. Camp participants sang along and danced, celebrating the bonds formed during the week.
Adding to the festive surprise, a group of 20–25 Hungarian tourists happened upon the concert and joined in the fun, turning the performance into an even more vibrant cultural gathering under the Hawaiian sky.
