🎄 Christmas Kántálás in the Bay Area (2023)
On the first day of Christmas 2023, Beáta and Attila revived a beautiful Hungarian tradition known as kántálás in the San Francisco Bay Area. This custom, rooted in community and musical celebration, involves visiting homes to sing carols and spread holiday cheer.
The duo visited four families across the Bay Area, bringing live music and heartfelt singing into each household. At every stop, the hosts could choose their favorite Christmas carols from a curated list, which Beáta and Attila performed with guitar accompaniment.
To make the experience even more inclusive, the lyrics were displayed on a dedicated website, allowing everyone present to sing along—even if they didn’t know the words by heart. The atmosphere was warm, joyful, and filled with the true spirit of Christmas: togetherness, music, and tradition.
